For many artists, this means trial-and-error, intuition, or deliberate application of a system set to motion. At this point, an idea starts to take form, whether it be in its primitive stage of a sketch or in final materials. 
UH OH! but wait! you must study your artwork before calling it DONE! Some underestimate this part of the creative process (sitting and reflecting) and the value of doing and redoing. Often we have to over come the fear of our own criticism or criticism in general and revise out first efforts.
